This Privacy Policy describes how the Student Achievement Tracker web application ("we", "our", or "the App") collects, uses, and protects your information.

1. Purely Client-Side Architecture

The App is a serverless, local-first utility. The developer does not operate database servers, does not run user-tracking scripts, and does not collect, read, store, or sell any of your records, achievements, volunteer logs, or student profile names.

2. Browser Local Storage

All data you enter into the App is stored directly inside your browser's private local database (localStorage) on your physical device. If you clear your browser history/cache or delete website data, this local database will be deleted. You can back up your data locally at any time using the JSON export feature in Settings.

3. Sandboxed Google Drive Sync

If you choose to sync your data across devices, the App connects directly to Google APIs using secure HTTPS.

• Restricted Scope: We request the Google drive.file scope. This is a highly restricted, sandboxed permission. It grants the App authorization to read and write only the specific files that it created itself (namely, student_tracker_data.json).
• No File Snooping: The App cannot access, view, edit, or delete any other files, folders, photos, or documents inside your Google Drive.
• Direct Connection: Your data is transferred directly between your browser and Google’s servers. It never passes through any intermediate developer servers.

4. No Analytics or Third-Party Tracking

The App does not use tracking cookies, analytics scripts (such as Google Analytics), or third-party marketing trackers. Your usage of the site remains entirely private and anonymous.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Any updates to this Privacy Policy will be published directly on this page. Because the App has no central database, we cannot send email notifications of changes; you are encouraged to check this page periodically.
